Summer Concert Series

As everyone knows here at Express Media we have always been committed to assisting young people as well as encouraging them to always better themselves. I am so proud of Ashleigh and Amber Banks 2 young ladies who have always put others above themselves while setting examples for all to follow. We are in preparation for scheduling  an outdoor concert scheduled for June 8, 2012 at Miller Park featuring Humble Tip and Bizzle. There will be 2 events scheduled for this date. A free event and a paid concert. Don’t miss out.

Less than 6 days left before Spring Bling

Wow less that 6 days away from Spring Bling Fashion Showcase. Thanks Sayre Enterprises, City of Lynchburg, Holiday Inn (Tony Camm), everyone who placed an ad, purchased a ticket, models for your time and talent, parents for your unwavering support, Doug Michelle, Jennifer Petticolas and family (mom and sister), my family who continuously put up with me and the students from the YES Program. I am humbled and speechless because I can’t say thank you enough. I’m so excited and everyone you want be disappointed at Spring Bling.

Spring Bling Fashion Showcase

Thanks to all of the models who came out on Saturday and Sunday to support Spring Bling!!! We were honored and humbled that you all wanted to help the Y.E.S. Program.

Wow what a lot of fun we had with the start of our fashion show.

Remember all models that were selected “Meet and Greet Saturday Feb. 18, 2012 at 3PM same place that the auditions were held.

The Fear of Failure

A lot of people talk about starting their own business, but never pursue their dreams because of fear. Fear of failing, well guess what, you will fail, so what! There are so many vairbles and task that you have to learn and overcome while getting your business up running so you will fail at one or some of them. Developing a strong business plan, marketing advertising, what type of business, where will my business be loacted and how will I pay for my start-up cost are just a few things that you will have to learn and develop. These are areas that people fail at, but they learn and get better. So see you will fail at something but you are not a failure so let’s get going entrepreneurs you can do it! Community wide computer training gaining strength

Thanks to all of the new students that have been taking advantage of the training opportunities that community wide computer training has offered. Within one week training has  increased in attendance by 50%. The awareness of the training program is becoming more evident. Thanks to Faye Hicks and LYNCAG for all its support and getting the word out.

“Don’t Get Got”

Express Media is inviting all actors and actresses between the ages of 11-17 to audition in it’s upcoming play “Don’t Get Got” written by Ryan Allison. This play tells the story of everyday life and struggles that teenagers deal with. Issues such as bullying, peer pressure and growing up in the streets. Parents until you walk in our kids foot steps, you don’t know what our kids are going through. Original music by Kayo and Kenny Braxton this will truly be a master piece.

Our kids are off the hook and we don’t know what to do.

Casting Call and audition will be scheduled September 17-18 2-6 PM
